It has been a challenging year for many as they were forced to flee their homes due to a variety of natural disasters. We have been lucky this summer in Calgary but we are not immune! We face flash floods due to heavy rains, tornadoes, fires as well as other hazards that can trigger emergencies such as chemical spills, sewer backups, power outages, infectious disease outbreak, etc. Are you prepared? Do you know what to do? Having a family emergency plan will save time & make real situations less stressful. Make sure to include your pets in the emergency plan. By having a plan & preparing a disaster kit, you are protecting the health of not only your pet but yourself & your family as well as others in the community. We have prepared a Pet Emergency Guide to help you get prepared!
